Feeding guide
CAUTION: Use as directed. Consumption of selenium should not exceed 0.7 mg per head daily.
Feed at a rate of one block per 10 to 20 head. All animals should have equal access to blocks. Timid and smaller animals need their share.
Place blocks where animals congregate. Locate blocks throughout the pasture at loafing, grazing and watering areas. Adequate distance must be maintained between blocks to prevent crowding – 10 feet minimum.
Feed blocks continuously along with plentiful sources of forage and clean, fresh water. Animals should not run out of blocks. When a block is two-thirds consumed, provide a new block near it.
Sheep and goats should consume 2 to 4 ounces per head daily.
Consumption of this block may vary depending upon animal body condition, quality and quantity of forages, seasonal weather conditions, and most importantly, feeding locations of blocks with respect to loafing, grazing, feeding and watering areas.
If additional vitamin and mineral fortification is desired, provide an appropriate STOCKADE self-fed mineral supplement in addition to this supplement.
Always follow the feeding directions on the bag tag. Questions? Ask our nutritionist or call (256) 582-2552.

Questions about this feed
Short answers to what people ask. Always follow the feeding directions on the bag tag.
-
Can I share this feed with other species?
Check the species listed on the bag and all cautions before sharing feed. Products with added copper may carry a warning against feeding sheep. “All stock” is not permission to feed every animal. Ask about your animals →
-
Which Tucker feeds without sheep in the name are safe for sheep?
NatureCrest Multi Species Feed and FarmCrest 16% Sweet All Stock are safe for sheep, as confirmed directly by Tucker Milling. This confirmation applies to these two formulas only; it does not cover FarmCrest 12%, FarmCrest 14%, or other all-stock feeds. Their current online product pages do not give sheep feeding amounts. Before feeding either, ask our nutritionist about the current formula and the amount for your sheep, and check the bag’s directions and cautions. If the tag or advice differs from this confirmation, do not feed it until Tucker resolves the question. Read the sheep feeding guide →
Buying and storing Tucker Milling feed
-
How should I store Tucker Milling feed?
Store feed in clean, dry conditions away from moisture. Keep storage containers clean and dry, and protect the feed from rain, leaks, and damp surfaces.
-
How can I tell when my feed was made?
Freshness should not be a mystery. Tucker Milling prints a readable manufacturing date and time so you can see when your feed was made, down to the minute. There is no Julian date code to decipher.
-
What should I do if a bag is wet, musty, or damaged?
Set the feed aside and do not feed it if you suspect spoilage or contamination. Keep the bag and its manufacturing stamp, take photos, and contact Tucker Milling or the dealer where you bought it so the concern can be investigated. Report a product concern →

What information helps the nutritionist answer my question?
Include the animal’s species, age or life stage, approximate weight or body condition, current feed and daily amount, forage or pasture, and your goal. For a flock, include the species and ages sharing the feeder and whether hens are laying. Send your feeding question →
